Who We Are

Craft & Oak ("we", "us") creates personalized map and star chart posters. We are the data controller of the personal information collected through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@craftoak.com.

Information We Collect

We only collect the information needed to run our store and improve your experience:

• Order and contact details: your name, email address, shipping address, and phone number when you place an order.
• Poster design inputs: the locations, dates, names, and messages you enter while designing your poster. These are stored so we can print your order and let you retrieve your design.
• Payment information: payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how you found us (for example a Google ad), collected via cookies and similar technologies described below.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Produce and deliver the posters you order, including sharing what is necessary with our print and delivery partners.
• Send you order confirmations, delivery updates, and reply to your support requests.
• Measure and improve how our website works, using analytics cookies (only with your consent).
• Show and measure advertising, using marketing cookies (only with your consent).
• Meet our legal obligations, such as accounting and tax rules.

Legal Bases

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (fulfilling your order), your consent (analytics and marketing cookies, newsletters), our legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, improving our products), and compliance with legal obligations (bookkeeping).

• Print and delivery partners — they receive your name, shipping address, and the poster file so your order can be produced and delivered.

• Vercel — website hosting.
• Mapbox — map rendering while you design your poster.

Each provider processes your data under a contract that meets GDPR requirements.

Data Retention

We keep order records for as long as required by accounting and tax law, and design data for as long as needed to reprint or support your order. Analytics and marketing data is kept only for the periods set by those tools. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before.

International Transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are protected by safeguards recognized under the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
